Ensure patients receive appropriate levels of important drugs before surgeries and other procedures. Assess the patient's medical history and its affect to the patient's response to anesthesia. Educate the patient about the process to be usedCounsel patients in stressful scenarios. Monitor the patient's response during and after anesthesia. Report unusual signs immediately to surgeon and doctor. Respond with emergency measures if the patient reacted badly to anesthesia. Document and maintain records of the medications given and the patient's response. Provide pain relief for women in labor. Assist in the resuscitation of critically ill and severely traumatized patients.
