About Carlota Charles Shaker
I have been designing websites for over half my life with my passion being in the design process and problem-solving aspect of design. I love to see my work come to life and go through the design process to get to a finished state. I currently work for Cigna as the Lead Designer for the Cigna.com Redesign, working with my content partners in restructuring the content strategy and IA, working with the design team to build a new design system and pattern library, and updating design standards. I believe I can communicate effectively with anyone from developers to fellow creatives and work in a fast and iterative work environment. Starting from a sketch in a notebook, I have worked on numerous projects from the beginning to being fully launched!In my free time, I like to bake. Here’s what I bring to the table… authentic and genuine passion, a collaborative team player that works well with other designers and developers, priority on inclusive design, data-driven decisions, and an advocate for users. (And I have an awesome chocolate chip and oatmeal recipe that I can share, too!!)
