I've been working for my current employer for 22 years. In that time I've held several positions and have gained knowledge and skills that can translate to many areas of a business. In 2002 I started as an electronics service technician where I helped customers with technical issues over the phone and in person. I learned to explain in simple terms how to solve their problems and ensure they were happy with their purchase. In 2004 I moved into a sales role focused on small electronics items. Through my first year of selling I learned to speak with every customer I was able to, and never stop looking for more customers to help, which led to me consistently being one of the top ticket writers in my department. Because of my success, in 2005, the owner of the company selected me to move to a more prominent role selling our entire catalog of products which included appliances, TVs, home audio equipment, computers and more, through a role in our phone sales department. Here, I was able to apply the skills I learned through my floor sales experience. I answered every call that rang on my phone and stayed in touch with my customers to ensure they would return every time they needed a new product. I also made sure they knew I was available to help with any questions they might have post-sale. In 2007 I was recruited to help our internet sales department. This involved helping customers through a live-chat feature on the computer, as well as over the phone, helping improve my multitasking abilities. Often times I'd be helping a customer on the phone and the computer at the same time. In 2016 I started my current role as a copywriter/brand spokesperson, helping to improve and expand our social media reach through YouTube. During my time in this role I have helped create over 1000 unique videos. I am also responsible for SEO of all these videos, including creating titles, tags, meta descriptions, closed captioning, playlists and managing viewer path to other related content. Over this time I've grown our subscriber count from 18,000 to over 171,000 with an average of over 1 million views per month. These videos are also used on our website and touch more than $1.4 million of sales per month on average. I am also responsible for doing live TV interviews, radio interviews, and providing written content for on-line and paper publications, on behalf of the store.
