I enjoy representing charities and promoting community events: Habitat For Humanity, Keep America Beautiful, American Cancer Society.

It was great to be in Boise to share weather and report on important events across Idaho. In addition, digital and social media made it possible for us as a news team to reach beyond our viewing area.

Had a blast working with Sherman and Noelle and the rest of the Jambalaya Team. We received the highest ratings of the show's 25 year history. It was a great pleasure being in Alexandria ... an experience I'll never forget!

Weather team leader at KNOP-TV. We utilize WSI Max for our graphics as we integrate hyper-local weather coverage on air and social media platforms. Our weather team participates in numerous community events, letting our viewers know how important they are to us. I presented at the American Meteorological Society conference in Phoenix, Arizona on the trajedy at Yarnell Hill, Arizona. My presentation is called Wall of Flame and we look at the events that led up to the loss of 19 of our finest and most elite firefighters called "Hotshots". Wall of Flame is an effort to bring awareness to avoiding the loss of wildland firefighters in the future. In Wall of Flame, I propose that each crew be outfitted with a GPS tracking device and a satellite telephone so we have pin point location and reliable communication link to the Hotshot crew, thus safe-gaurding the Hotshotter's lives.

Weekday and Weekend Meteorologist KTRV lost the Fox Affiliation and the Newsroom Closed We had news on the morning of December 5th, we didn't have news on the evening of December 5th. All of us were looking for our next job. I wanted to stay in TV Weather and was hired by KNOP-TV in North Platte, Nebraska a couple of months later.

Morning, Evening, Weekend and Daily Webcast Meteorologist. Shifts changed regularly. Covered extreme heat, drought and fire weather concerns as well as severe weather in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. Utilized Weather Central for our graphics building program with Magic Track and then migrated to WSI as we went through a complete set change and a transition to HD.

Studied under Dan Thomas, Nancy Van Camp and Lisa Spencer. Learned how to produce a compelling weather story, generated graphics with WSI, Baron and Vipir. Covered severe weather for the Mid South. Became a character on the show and received fan mail addressed to "Carl the Intern".
