As a member of ERT, Hewlett Packard Enterprise's global Engineering Resolution Team, I respond to elevations from around the world for HPE's Hyper-Converged storage platform, SimpliVity.

As a Technical Support Engineer for HPE SimpliVity, my role involves providing critical 'Severity 1' and high complexity technical support for the SimpliVity OmniStack Platform. Supporting a product as complex as the OmniStack platform requires a diverse subset of knowledge and skills that span specializations including storage, GNU/Linux, virtualization, networking, SQL, scripting, and programming.

intplusone is a personal project which I officially launched on August 26th of 2015.Content is hosted on Google's Youtube platform under the name 'intplusone Channel'​. Since inception, the channel has grown to a subscriber base of 189 subscribers, and offers almost 500 videos.intplusone Channel has participated two years in a row in the 24-Hour Extras Life Charity Gaming Marathon from 2015 - 2016, and has hosted a number of guest co-hosts. The mission of intplusone is to generate revenue while providing high quality entertainment and learning videos utilizing primarily open source tools, and providing access to the files utilized in the creation of these videos on GitHub as a learning tool for others interested in the process. intplusone's content falls into a multi-tiered content strategy: 1. 'Let's Play'​ style gameplay commentary videos covering games from console generations 1 - 82. Patch note review and meta-game analysis videos for popular titles like Blizzard's Overwatch, and Hello Game's No Man's Sky. 3. intplusone 'skills' based videos focusing on high quality tutorials on GNU/Linux, programming, open-source software, and related programs.

As a Customer Support Representative for Ubisoft, I provided technical and product support for the company's Games as a Service ( GAS ) products, and the Uplay platform. Utilizing multiple CRM systems to manage a caseload consisting of e-mail tickets and live chats, I assisted players with resolving a variety of technical issues ranging from network connectivity and graphical issues to providing support for in game purchases. I have had the privilege to support AAA software titles that include Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six: Siege, Tom Clancy's: The Division, Steep, For Honor, and Watch Dogs 2. Being able to provide support required a fundamental understanding of major gaming platforms such as the Sony PlayStation 4, XBOX ONE, and Windows PC.

At CVS/Pharmacy, my role was one of support to the pharmacist, and to the patients/patrons of the pharmacy.The scope of my responsibilities started at the initial intake at a station we call "Drop Off"​ where a patient presents a written prescription, typically from a physician. I processed the prescription through a Linux based medication management system called "RXConnect"​. In order to properly process a prescription, I had to ensure that we had the proper information from the patient. I would inquire about insurance to determine whether or not our information is current enough to properly bill the patient. I also had to verify any watermarks and security features on prescriptions to verify that they are indeed legal and valid prescriptions. Finally, at point of drop off, I had to make calculations based off the "SIG"​ (Short for Signa) Codes for days supply, and therefore am familiar with industry standard shorthand codes.The next station in the process is what was called "Production"​ which occurs after initial billing and verification. At Production, labels for the prescriptions are printed, and the appropriate stock bottles are then pulled, and using a counting tray I would count pills, or quantity if liquid/powder, making conversions if necessary. Once the prescription was counted, I would sort prescriptions by time of day "promised"​ to be verified by the pharmacist at the "Verification Queue"​. Finally, I facilitated sale of pharmacy products at the final station, "Pick Up"​, at Point-Of-Sale. Drop Off & Pick Up are both heavily front facing duties which require providing good customer service to increase engagement with CVS/Pharmacy, and with CVS/ Caremark (CVS Health) as a service provider to the community.Additional roles included making "Patient Outreach Calls", answering general questions, knowing the relationship and classifications of drugs and their generic equivalents, and simple inventory and data entry roles.

At Fogbeam Labs I assisted in the creation of digital marketing aids for promotional usage as my primary role. This position empowers me to make certain design decisions that I weigh against industry design trends.I created a combination of traditional promotional materials like flyers to full motion video 3D modelling work for use with recorded audio and video.Fogbeam Labs has participated in a number of conferences, and presentations within the Triangle Region of Central North Carolina such as the CED Tech Venture Conference, and All Things Open.Additional tasks have included identifying potential clients, general market research, and drafting promotional copy.Fogbeam Labs is a great company, and as a start-up I consider the sky to be the limit!

I had the opportunity to learn a lot of amazing things when I worked as a paid intern for CertainTeed Gypsum, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain.At CertainTeed, I was hired as support for the automation team, a component of the professional maintenance department. The location I had the privilege to work in was a state of the art facility; the only of its kind in the entire country.Working here felt like being a student; I was constantly learning about entire disciplines which I had never had any formal exposure.My internship allowed me to pick up a large amount of skills and knowledge covering Microsoft Visio, SCADA, RDP, TCP/IP, WINCC, PLC, and VMWare ESXi.Through this opportunity I was also able to strengthen skills with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows 7 Professional, and a number of other general software skills.The scope of work I was involved in was heavily variable and relatively autonomous; I was both given projects to complete, and also identified what I perceived as needs and created projects that I believed would create value.

As a Shift Leader, I had a host of responsibilities which centered around managing the daily store operations, subordinates, and sales on my shift.In my position, I primarily reported and coordinated with the Store Manager, Sales Manager, and my fellow Shift Leaders.In my five years there from 2006 - 2011, I worked at a number of locations in Durham, the surrounding counties, and Virginia.Each store had its own personality and culture, and each location I worked at presented new opportunities to learn from my coworkers. Being a low level travelling manager was a lot of work, in some cases I would be working multiple locations in the same day. Adaptation was crucial to success and managing my subordinates, and I took a collaborative approach to task delegation so I could find duties that worked to each employees individual strengths.

As a Senior Game Advisor for Gamestop, my goal was to convert casual shoppers into repeat business with the express purpose of not only meeting expected sales goals, but to exceed them.I utilized a relationship based sales methodology to foster repeat traffic, and to create a regular customer base. Gamestop offered a number of tools with which assisted me to achieve this goal including a robust loyalty program, the ability to 'reserve' upcoming titles, and a somewhat competitive pre-owned trade-in program.My position was a low-level management position in which I performed several duties in addition to promoting sales.I was responsible for full accountability of all cash handling on any shift in which I was the 'Manager On Duty ( MOD ) ' ; I verified and prepared, and delivered store deposits, managed funds in the strong box, and was held accountable to any discrepancies by either me, or my team mates on shift.Daily inventory tasks were a large part of my position; whole categories were required to be verified against the system quantity, and when discrepancies were found I was required to make adjustments to ensure that actual, on-hand quantity matched what was recorded in our Point-of-Sale system.

I started at EB Games in November of 2014 as both my first experience in retail, and in the gaming industry. Initially hired as holiday help, I was granted keys shortly after starting by proving myself to be competent and reliable.Console launches that I had the pleasure of being a part of were the Nintendo DS, the Sony PlayStation Portable, The Microsoft XBOX 360, and Nintendo Game Boy Micro.I learned a lot from this job, and built fundamental skills in customer service, selling, and inventory related tasks which included assisting in managing store inventory, receiving product, preparing and delivering store deposits, and opening and closing duties.Those skills I learned from this job laid the foundation for future job opportunities, and gave me a lot of first hand experience with the inner workings of the game industry as whole. This job has been invaluable in my overall career.
