Construction Engineer Inspector- Lirr Hudson Yards
CurrentCore duties include: coordinating construction activities as Owner’s rep to MTA LIRR, ensuring daily completion of tasks as per EOR Specs, maintaining non-interruption of LIRR operations, enhancing OSHA, FRA, LIRR safety protocols, bridging project stakeholders; Developer, General Contractor, Sub-contractors, Manufacturers, Consultants, Regulatory Agencies, as well as LIRR internal departments- Sub-Station, Track, 3rd Rail, MOE, Transportation, Signal, Corporate Safety, Fire Marshall, Life & Safety, Facility, etc.Managing design review, installation to commissioning close-out of the following scopes (non-exhaustive)Fiber Systems, CO NO2 Sensors, Low Voltage Electrical, Life & Safety– Sprinkler, Smoke detector, Heat Trace, Standpipe, FDC’s, ARC- Auxiliary Radio Communication-antenna, SCADA, BMS, CRAC Units, Horizontal Fan Plants, Fireproofing-Sprayed Fire Resistive Material (SFRM), Water Proofing Systems, HVAC Systems, Vertical Transportation, NOVEC & FM200 Fire Suppression Systems, Deluge Valve Network, Gypsum Boards, Loading Dock Pulley Systems, Finishes-Paints, Tiles, Doors, Windows, etc. • Assuring construction tasks meet compliance per Engineer of Records/Architect of Records & CD’s specs.• Participating in daily safety briefings led by RWIC- as mandated by LIRR Roadway Worker Protection program.• Ensuring the integrity of LIRR existing infrastructure from adjacent construction activities. • Maintaining document control, review and tracking of contractor submittals.• Keeping records of LIRR force account in direct support of project.• Coordinating sequence of work & logistics with trades, consultants, vendors & other stakeholders. • Assisting in the preparation of work plans and monthly reports, as deemed required by the Project.
