One of my all time favorite things to do in life has always been to build travel itineraries! Finally, after careers in retail, real estate, and construction I am following my dream of starting a group travel community!- My wife Marie and I have long had a very strong desire to serve others and be generous. “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matt 20:28-We want to share those values with our family, but it always seems like work, the kids' school, and other activities leave us little time for volunteering together as much as we would like.-Our first inclination was that vacation would be the perfect time to spend volunteering somewhere. But inevitably, we’d be drawn to use our vacation to "escape" to some resort or other country where ironically we went to be served instead. We came back sometimes having enjoyed our trip, but often felt unfulfilled and no more connected as a family.-Mission trips were an option, but they don’t usually lend themselves to bringing the children.-We began to meet other families and travelers that voiced the same unfulfilled desires. This dilemma was the catalyst behind SerVacations - Where Volunteering and Vacation Unite!We plan trips for groups of all ages where guests serve others while also enjoying a fun-filled and uplifting vacation that leaves them feeling more connected to one another and truly connected to the community that they visit. We love serving groups of all types including churches, homeschool groups, alumni associations, and corporate.
