A good web presence for local businesses is being found on the 1st page of Google when a consumer is searching for your goods & services. It also includes having competitive Google Reviews. If a business is found on the first page but they don’t have competitive Google Reviews, then they are driving customers to their competition, because the average consumers, over 95% of the time, checks out online reviews before they call the business. The Google 3-pack is usually toward the top of the page in any search query. Underneath the 3-pack is a button for “more business”, which if you click this button, it will show you all the other businesses who offer the same services in relation to the search term. Unfortunately Google has made us lazy and they will not click this button, but instead make their choice by what they find on the first page of Google over 97% of the time. (Hence, the old saying…where do you hide a dead body on the internet? On page 2 because no one looks there.)
