Strategic member of the executive management team in a VP role providing leadership to technical and operational staff while overseeing the operation and capital planning of the marine fleet.

Provided technical and operational leadership for day to day technical operation of a fleet of nineteen vessels with a multi-million dollar annual operating budget. During the tenure the operating and capital budgets were managed within the established limits using operational strategies to directly impact profit and loss statements.

Reporting to the Director, Fleet Management assisted in the day to day technical operation of the fleet and directly managed major multi-million dollar projects associated with the fleet

As part of the company’s $200M fleet renewal program, played an integral role on the project team that, designed, constructed and commissioned four new self-unloading forebodies for service on the Great Lakes; concept was also eventually used to build forebodies in Asia.

As part of the Marine Division, provided engineering support and onsite representation to clients in the public and private sector. Prepared proposals, specifications, calculations, onsite engineering support services and made recommendations pertaining to Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering applications.

Provided clients with detailed condition surveys of hull structure and essential piping systems using both visual and non-destructive testing techniques.
