Direct efforts have helped the client better manage and control potential liability exposures impacting up to 100 different Home Depot stores in their vital North Eastern region. Provide support in managing liability exposures to Home Depot’s Southeastern and Western regions when needed. Consistently engage claimants and individually resolve between 100-130 customer claims a month while delivering an on-budget closing ratio of 99.7%; thereby greatly exceeding individual performance goals. Gained additional hands-on process level experience.

University Housing

1) In the Patton and Greek community, we had a canned food drive called the PG Can-A-Thon Competition. This was a competition to see which floor in Patton, or house in Greek could collect the most cans between January 17th-31st The winner would receive a pizza party. I am very competitive by nature, and so are my residents. I advertised in our floor group chat about the competition weekly and reminded residents in person. The residents accepted the challenge. Every day our floor's donation box would become fuller. At the end of the competition, my floor collected the most items to win the pizza party. I had led my team to victory which is a significant accomplishment. The residents enjoyed the competition. This forced them to exhibit the critical skill of teamwork to win. The floor is closer now than ever before because of it. 2) At the beginning of the year, I noticed my floor was quiet compared to the other floors. I would walk out in the lounge during prime study hours, and no one would be there. It seemed like all the residents were shy, or just didn’t want to interact with others. I didn’t like this, so I decided to start hosting game nights in my lounge. Card games like Uno and Spoons were the main games played. I would advertise them in my floor group chat to get the word out. The first few game nights were small with only about two or three residents. What began to happen was residents would walk by our games and notice how much fun we were having. This would make them want to join in the next time they saw a game night post in the group chat. Now when I host game night, I can count on seven or eight residents coming out. A lot of the residents play card games at home, so playing the same games at Patton gave the floor a more home-like environment. This made residents more comfortable to come out to the lounge. The residents are closer to one another now because I took action the change the shy culture of the floor.

3) Health and fitness are my biggest passions. One of my goals at the beginning of the year was to incorporate it in the Patton and Greek Community. I accomplished this by taking residents who are interested in weightlifting to train in my private gym. While there, I encouraged and coached them, and also helped their weightlifting form. This helped me bond with residents because we got to hang out outside of Patton Hall. The residents enjoyed being able to lift weights in a private gym as opposed to a crowded Rec Center. Now when I see the residents that I train with, we have instant conversation starters. They feel they can approach me about their fitness goals because they know we have a common interest.

In this position, I Review and respond or coordinate responses to internal and external customers of the function including reviews of contracts, documents and requests for Insurance certificates. Recommend advice to be given on insurance and risk management issues to corporate and business unit personnel and management.
