Provide consultation to the Managing Partner and Senior Management Team to develop and launch a DEI initiative to become a more diverse and inclusive business that values respect and dignity for all. The organization’s goal is to foster an anti-racist culture reflected through the work environment, increased community engagement, and more equitable staff demographics. This engagement will provide DEI consultation and training to management team members and staff throughout the organization.

Developed institutional systems and processes in partnership with the Director of People and Culture and the President/CEO to create DEI policies and practices for all 450+ managers and staff members; provide consultation to specific programs around sensitive matters requiring culturally sensitive strategic intervention. Provide consultation to support and advise organizations seeking to become diverse and inclusive by developing and adopting racial justice values. Assist organizations in developing and implementing accountability measures to track progress and outcomes. Additionally, provide psychotherapy services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking to heal their pain, increase healthy coping, and improve the overall quality of their lives.

Recruited to develop, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, a strategic plan to meet critical community needs and engage action to dismantle and reform unjust and inequitable policies internal and external to the organization. The Willis Center gained a reputation for providing a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, culturally competent social services, including homelessness, substance abuse treatment, HIV prevention, and outreach, services to children in the care of the Department of Children & Families. Successes and Highlights:• Achieved national accreditation and accreditation renewal for the organization. Initiated the process, motivated and guided the senior management team in a multi-year continuous quality improvement process, policy and procedure generation, and implementation to obtain accreditation. The accrediting body recognized the organization during the third year of the first term for maintaining a high-level continuous quality improvement system and processes.• Established the office for racial, equity, and inclusion to dismantle and reform unjust and inequitable policies within organizations and institutions that impact the health and wellness of the poor, disadvantaged, especially within communities of color. Engaged in community mobilization to move individuals from dormancy into action to dismantle and reform unjust and inequitable policies.• Trained over 250 members of the community to become empowered leaders and engage advocacy to dismantle racism.• Evolved the agency from a small program with a budget of 1.5 million to a comprehensive array of programs and community services with an organizational budget exceeding $12 million
