• Provision of assurance services to the Head of Internal Audit of a major New Zealand Financial Institution to assist in the direction of the in-house function and to maintain currency with good practice during a period.
• Independent assessment and recommendations to improve assurance procedures over a major project for a New Zealand Government Agency.
• Evaluation of emergency response and IS disaster recovery procedures for a major New Zealand infrastructure organisation.

• Development and implementation of Vector’s co-sourced internal audit and assurance function including:
• Transition of the outsourced model to an integrated framework, leveraging Vector’s lines of defence to enhance efficiency, coverage and capability.
• Lead the development of Vector's audit bot to provide continuous assurance, global monitoring of emerging risks and programme management.
• Introduced guest auditor programme to drive assurance engagement and increase bandwidth across the group.
• Identification and management of a panel of specialist service providers to meet the assurance needs of the Executive and Board Committee.
• Re-design of operating procedures, reporting templates and methodologies to provide greater strategic and long term value.

• Responsible for the development and implementation of Powerco’s Risk and Assurance Methodology including:
• Facilitation of the risk management framework including the transition of the process from one perceived solely for Board purposes to a tool to deliver Powerco’s Strategic and Operational Objectives across all business.
• Development and implementation of Powerco’s new Legal and Regulatory Compliance System and underlying validation process to provide the Executive and Board with assurance that procedures are in place to meet key Legal.
• Transition of the static one year Internal Audit Plan to a rolling Business Assurance Programme driven by an Assurance Map and linked to Powerco’s Six Strategic Objectives;
• Establishment of the current Risk and Assurance function using a blend of in-house resource and external specialists including a change to the main co-sourced service provider to protect and add value to Powerco’s.
• Key project member developing and implementing Powerco’s Safety Management System for Public Safety to meet the requirements of NZS7901; and

• Senior Manager within the Auckland ERS practice and competency lead for the UK Manufacturing Industry Group driving the delivery of internal audit and risk services to primarily corporate sector clients, including:
• Delivery of the risk based internal audit programme to Vector Limited, Mighty River Power, Livestock Improvement Corporation, Pfizer, Orica, and Goodman Fielder;
• Outsourced Head of Internal Audit for British Vita Group S.ar.l, a €1.5bn global manufacturing group that was taken private by Texas Pacific in 2005, implementing an assurance framework that contributed to the.
• Transition of the Croda International Plc internal audit approach from basic compliance to an integrated risk and value driven assurance programme across its worldwide footprint;
• Risk and assurance lead for three months on an SEC mandated investigation and improvement project for a €75bn multinational;
• Establishment of the outsourced internal audit function at Ashtead Group Plc to initially baseline the control environment following accounting irregularities and then to build value across the Group;

• Development and implementation of the Group’s risk and assurance methodology across the UK Bus and Coach USA Divisions, including performance of both financial and operational control risk self-assessment, process.
