Throughout my life, I have had a roller coaster ride with many career paths. Although they all seemed to have a common theme surrounding my love for helping people! Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to save someone's life or to be the person who helps in a time of need. I was fixated on the idea that I was going to be a surgeon after watching Grey's Anatomy. As I got older I wanted to learn more and more so I started taking medical classes in middle school and high school (Medical Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology) I fell in love with the medical field! It is so fascinating to me how everything in our body has its own part in our everyday lives.I'm at a point in my life where there are so many doors open that can lead me anywhere! I have had life-changing experiences that made helping people something I want to pursue no matter what career path I go on. My dad was involved in a fatal car accident and since then, that want has become stronger than ever. I want to make special connections with people as they get through challenges. Being involved when a person needs help can make a huge difference even if it is just to be a friend to them. In the past year, I have had two amazing opportunities. I went through TMU College and am now a Certified Nurse Assistant! I am now working as a CNA and I am loving it! I have been able to connect with people and learn a lot of great skills that I will be able to use my entire life. I am so grateful I can be there for these people to help them when they need it. I also have been interning at RPT Physical therapy! I have met so many amazing people there. I've been able to observe how the physical therapists and assistants are there to understand people's needs and concerns. I have seen the relief on people's faces when they overcome their struggles and gain improvement. Physical therapy teaches useful exercises for the process of recovery and even after you are fully healed! I can't wait to learn more about ways I can help people through all of these amazing careers.
