Massapequa Public School District holds a Summer Recreation Program. I started working it as a volunteer in 2011. Then, in 2012, I got promoted to a position of being a group leader. In 2016, I was further promoted to a college assistant position. Working at this program has provided me with leadership, creative skills, supervision rolls, and teamwork.

The Odyssey Online is an online blog where people are able to write about topics that they are passionate about. I started writing for The Odyssey because of my passion for writing. I have seen myself become a better writer from article to article and have realized becoming a good writer takes time and there will always be room to grow. I enjoy writing, because of it always me to get out how I feel while allowing the reader to know that there is always someone else out there feeling like they do.

HOPEFitness is a gym for people with disabilities. I volunteered here for approximately six years. While volunteering here I was able to work hands-on with people who have all sorts of disabilities. I assisted with organizing fitness programs, ensuring goals were reached, scheduling monthly socials and planning activities.

'incREDAble' is a fundraising event I had started in memory of my grandfather, Joseph Reda, who passed away January 18, 2016, of Stomach Cancer. To honor the life he lived I organized a fundraiser with the New York Mets and designed t-shirts and bracelets in order to raise approximately $2,000 for the Joe Reda Scholarship Fund. I still continue to raise money for the scholarship fund and the baseball aspect of the fundraiser is aimed to be a bi-annual event.
