The past year has put everything in perspective for me, seeing how drastically Covid-19 affected people all around the world made me come to the realization that I want to make an impact in the world and leave behind a world for my children that they can feel safe and free in. I have always been a people person and being able to incorporate that into a career and inspire people would be extraordinary. I have participated in DECA the past two years and qualified for state both times in Hospitality and Tourism and actually took first place at the Area 11 competition this winter with my partner. I love being able to expand my skill set through Deca because the skills that we learn will take us far in our future jobs and help us stay determined to do the best we possibly can. I have also participated in sports outside of school and in school, such as basketball, soccer, and golf. I have experience in theater, choir, and dance classes. Most recently I have had the opportunity to work at and help put together a small store in Sitka, Alaska where I spend some time in the summer. I have also obtained a 4.0 through my high school career and was on Honor Roll through middle school.
