I am extremely passionate about communicating science to all levels of education to make it accessible to everyone. I have worked both in science writing, bench work, and computational biology in both academia and industry settings. Currently I work full-time as a Scientific Writer for Absorption Systems while I am finishing up my master's degree. I also advocate for Lupus awareness with The Lupus Foundation of Southern California as well as on my personal Instagram page. Advocating for Lupus is important to me because I was diagnosed with this autoimmune disease in 2013 when I was just 19 years old. While this disease has given me many challenges, it has provided amazing opportunities to find my true passion in communicating science and helping other people who are chronically ill. In my free time, you will find me playing games online, chilling with my tortoise, and bingeing Netflix with my husband.
