As part of the Market Management Team i work with Devon’s strategic commissioners, strategic procurement and the adult social care provider market to ensure there is sufficiency within adult social care provision to meet current needs and demands, while shaping the future of the adult social services and the ever changing demographic. Contract monitoring the provider markets, focused on the Housing With Support sector to ensure both Devon and the commissioned providers are meeting their contractual obligations. Risk mitigation, strategic planning for future engagement.

Assessing people under the Care Act 2014 to identify eligibility for funding from the local authority promoting integration with care and support and health. Care Act Assessments’ or reviews of such, for vulnerable adults who may be assessed as having eligible support needs. Promoting independence for vulnerable adults, striving for person centred care, equality & choices.work in both statutory and non-statutory roles. In a statutory position my role is to adhere to the laws that exist to protect the vulnerable clients. Duty to abide by the legislation and the power to enforce it.Providing non statutory support for drug and alcohol users, homeless people and people with mental health issues. Work in early intervention roles, aiming to prevent the escalation of problems in society to where statutory services are required.
