At my core, I enjoy working with people and developing creative solutions for tough challenges. There's always more than one way to achieve the "right answer". The technical background instilled in me during my upbringing and passion for motorsports meant a career in automotive was the only real path for me.This work challenges me to not only understand the person on the other side of the table, but to deeply understand how the problem effects them and identify the values influencing their decision making process. It also challenges me to get creative with solution design and to look beyond the obvious answer.The person-centered approach I apply has undoubtedly been instrumental in achieving organizational goals and the positive effects were felt in the teams and companies I've worked with. The last few years have been some of the most challenging times in this industry as we all know - so many tough conversations and negotiations occurred. As hard as it was, it provided opportunity to reflect on our hardships and focus on lessons learned. Suppliers and OEMs across the board needed to adapt, and it seems the industry as a whole is now recognizing the value of person-centered approaches at all levels. When I'm not growing accounts, you can usually find me hiking in a US national or state park, volunteering in the community, at the race track, or watching the Office TV show for the Nth time.Professional specialties: business development, global account management, change management, sales strategy, relationship management, opportunity hunting, JIT manufacturing and assembly, prototypes, site management from conception > launch > decommissioning, project management, contract negotiation, and value-add assembly services.
