I am Senior Technologist and Executive Partner, focused on technical and business strategy where I engage in advocacy, software delivery, issue detection and remediation along with providing organizational guidance and investment strategy. I am an active member of the internal technical community, where I highlight trends in industry and apply patterns and practices to ongoing and future delivery engagements. Additionally I am a vocal advocate for engineering practices and Agile methodologies to large scale, vastly distributed, and complex systems. My areas of focus include Continuous Delivery, agile delivery, shifting user experiences and generally focusing on delivering custom complex solutions while partnering with executive leaders. As a senior member of the technology community I retained executive relationships and structured technical and commercial partnerships to shape the technical road map of several clients in various business environments.

Responsible for +20MM technical portfolio within the Business Insurance space. Designed and delivered core integration systems along while supporting and enhancing multiple active production systems. My primary focus to rebuild and engineering discipline without organization around architecture and engineering best practices. During my tenure I reported to the Vice President of Engineering with a goal of shaping technology strategy for the Enterprise Production and Specialized Business portfolio including new forms of capabilities based on vendor supplied functionality.

Focused on system’s integration and API design to drive richer user experiences. Applied various scaling techniques to reduce total cost of ownership for the running asset, which reducing integration cost through the application of lightweight MicroServices. Created responsive omni-channel applications to satisfy multi-product servicing and risk rating. Supported a team of 10-15 developers in an effort to modernize the current technology stack.

As a member of the Webster community, I was involved in multiple projects that included integration with legacy systems, design and delivery of new systems, and security and secured communication implementations. My primary responsibilities included, architectural leadership and a strong focus on technical excellence systems delivery for enterprise applications. As a technical advisor I supported credential and security management throughout the Shared Services Group, the core team responsible for the core banking applications for the entire organization. In addition to my development responsibilities, I was also responsible for the design of the security and data abstraction layers in which I became the primary architect for some of the core infrastructure applications.

At webster, I spent most of my time focused on software quality and automation. Early on within the development of our Systems Integration platform, it became apparent that current testing methodologies would not be sufficient to accurately verify full system functionality. At this point I became responsible for creating an automation framework that would satisfy the needs for the entire financial services organization. The outcome was a behavior driven testing framework allowing business users to create specifications for business transactions. This framework was then extended to include load testing capabilities and system health reporting. Once the program became steady state I moved into the Enterprise Architecture space applying the practices and principles from my industry experience to large scale high transaction systems. Along with my technical responsibilities I also managed our junior developer program mentoring recent college graduates and interns. Over the course of 5 years at Webster Bank I created partnerships with multiple Universities and also sponsored Research and Development Projects with the goal of expanding our testing framework to include additional capabilities and open source the project.
