Profile bio

About Carly Michael

I am a seasoned professional with 14+ years of business development, marketing, outreach, public relations, and partnership building experience. Recognized for demonstrating a natural aptitude for project management, as well as for strategic planning and process improvement, I have a history of contributing directly to company growth and expansion throughout my career. Professional focal points include administration, logical problem solving, event coordination, customer service, team leadership, training, campaign management, and performance assessment. Currently, I am the Family and MWR, Chief Operating Officer with the military at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Under my leadership, I spearhead multiple, concurrent, complex projects for numerous departments with efficiency. This includes controlling five budgets (totaling $1.5M), supervising four managers, and supporting twenty-six employees. I also cultivate positive relationships with personnel, upper management, partners, and more to generate business while delivering exceptional services. Additionally, I continually provide vision, objectives, and priorities at a time of immense uncertainty and future of our agency. In each position I have held, even in traditional atmospheres, I have strived to push the boundaries of long-established molds. One such initiative is bringing the Army into the information age. Right now, I am working on an App that will capture soldiers’ current state through short, on-boarding questionnaires, providing a baseline and early risk factor identification and then connecting them to preventative resources before issues implode. This project underscores a major Army initiative to ensure Readiness of the Forces, and its inaugural version will soon become an Army-wide program.I am pursuing new opportunities in the Pacific Northwest and can be reached through this profile, or by phone at: 253-691-6006.

Listed skills include Strategic Communications, Nonprofits, Public Relations, Event Planning, and 12 others.
