Variety of roles in a team of organisational change programme at NS (Team coach, Scrum Master, Prototyping coach, PMO)

After the interim change manager position at PUM and the post-master program AMID (Advanced Master for International Development), I decided to go on a travel sabbatical. Together with my partner I traveled to India, Nepal, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysian Borneo and Indonesia. We have both enjoyed the natural beauty of these countries and its people. This added to personal reflection and international experience.

I was part of the PMO (Program Management Office) responsible for coordinating an elaborate organizational change. I joined PUM in a difficult period, as this was the first major strategic organizational change to its delivery model and organizational structure in over 40 years. My responsibilities included following up on the implementation plan, by coordinating the 10+ working groups, advising and reporting to the board of directors on progress, facilitating and coaching (new) colleagues in transition process, developing working processes and policy, and communicating in- and externally. Over time I reported to the Manager PMO, PMO director and CEO.Success included the timely and comprehensive execution of the implementation plan and handover to management. Besides, I also was co-author of a subsidy proposal to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DDE), which was fully granted for 7 million Euros. PUM is a Dutch non-profit organization in private sector development, through knowledge transfer by expert volunteers to small- and medium size enterprises in developing countries and emerging markets.

I was part of the Cotton & Textiles team and responsible for sustainable supply chain projects, drafting proposals, fundraising and brand engagement. I reported directly to the Head of department sustainable Fashion. I led a project to pilot a living wage approach with brands and RMG factories in China, and a project to set up a multi-stakeholders alliance with brands and NGOs on addressing poor employment practices in the spinning mill sector in India (Tamil Nadu). On behalf of Solidaridad, member of the H&M advisory board, Dutch National Action Plan Living Wage group, and presented at the Sustainable Textiles Lab, "Living Wage: Beyond a number, towards concrete actions for brands and factories." on 27th of August 2015.

Graduation thesis, 8,5/10: "Fast Fashion & Social Sustainability: Opportunities and Challenges for Responsible Supply Chain Management." A qualitative research exploring the Fast Fashion’s business model and characteristics, its relation to Social Sustainability at garment manufacturers and workers, and its challenges and opportunities to responsible supply chain management for retailers. Thesis available upon request.

Policy report, 8,5/10: "Ambitieniveau CO2- en Energiebeleid Partners De Groene Zaak: Koplopers en Knelpunten." A research conducted to assess the level of ambition of the CO2- and energy-policy of +200 companies and partners of De Groene Zaak. De Groene Zaak is a business association that aims to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable Dutch economy.

Policy report, 8.5/10: "Making Knowledge Last, Inclusiveness and Sustainability of a Climate Change Adaptation Program in a Community North Ghana." Researching the the ALP (Adaptation Learning Program for Africa), a climate change adaptation program. The focus is on the effectiveness of (the programs') local institutions to spread information and tangible goods, and the resulting degree of inclusiveness. Also in relation to this, the local governance network is assessed to determine its sustainability after ALP ends.
