I feel that my passion for working with media, promoting inclusion and accessibility for disabled individuals, my knowledge of inclusive and accessible design and media, as well as my creativity and experience makes me an ideal candidate for a placement with your company.From an early age I learned the importance of understanding, inclusion, advocacy, and acces-sibility. I grew up volunteering with disabled children, and promoting the integration of students with special needs into mainstream classrooms as well as adapting services and designs to suit their needs. More recently, I have had the pleasure of working at Ryerson University’s Inclusive Media Design Centre under Dr. Deborah Fels. There I worked on acces-sible design technology projects such as Terptube and MyHealthRecord and I worked in collaboration with Deaf and mobility impaired individuals. Having the opportunity to learn more about service design from other talented individuals within your corporation would be an honour.Over the past six years I have developed skills both inside and outside the work environment. I have developed a strong work ethic and an understanding of how to manage stressful tasks while maintaining a light-hearted attitude. I have a working knowledge of the Adobe Illustra-tor and Photoshop, as basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite Programs, HTML/CSS, Proto.io, as well as the Mac and Windows operating systems.
