As the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Division Manager at Meridian Fire Department, I lead and oversee the development and implementation of strategies and programs to reduce the risk of fire and injury in the community. With over 11 years of experience as a firefighter paramedic, I have the skills and knowledge to assess and address the needs and challenges of diverse populations and environments, and to collaborate with various stakeholders and partners to enhance public safety and education.I am passionate about health and wellness, especially for fire and EMS professionals, and have earned a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Exercise Science from Eastern Oregon University. I have experience in designing and applying for grants to fund health and wellness programs, as well as serving on the Health & Wellness Committee and Peer Support Team at my previous employer, the City of Albany Oregon. I have also served as an elected board member for Albany Fire Fighters Local 845, where I advocated for the rights and interests of my fellow firefighters.
