Blooming Lotus ConsultationsBlooming Lotus Consultations Oct 2022 - PresentMy clinical practice is focused on helping people recover from complex trauma. I am a peer support and clinical therapist. I work collaboratively with clients and other peer support professionals in my practice when clinically indicated. I keep my client list small so that I can spend quality time with clients, even if I cannot bill for the time. I believe that having a reliable, trustworthy, and consistent relationship is necessary to heal. That may take six months or six years. Insurance won't pay for that level of care, but being able to help someone heal their soul is worth more karma than all the millions in the world. I find that clients appreciate having a therapist who has first hand knowledge of the emotional roller-coaster ride of PTSD, depression, and chronic pain. My therapeutic approach is influenced by a decade and a half working with indigenous communities around the world, Buddhist Psychology, comparative religions, Logotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Jungian Psychoanalysis. I prefer to work with adults. I'm an advocate for cultural diversity, disability rights, and I'm a friend to the LGBTQAI+ community. Politically, I view myself as very liberal.
