Very proud CEO of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF) since January 2024. This job combines the personal and professional for me, as my family was directly impacted by this cancer in 2011 and we have received excellent patient support from OCF. Our small but dedicated team raise vital awareness and funds for research, early detection and patient support for people living with and beyond this cancer. We’re bringing the good fight to this bad cancer, with over 500 people diagnosed in Ireland every year #OCFbyYourSide Prior to this role, I worked with the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation for 15 years, 10 years in communications and the last 5 as their CEO. A wonderful charity that funds and supports 400 children and their families with home nursing care. My career spans 39 years across research roles, PR, fundraising and marketing, getting a great start in Dermot Desmond’s NCB Stockbrokers. My PR experience includes 12 years in top consultancies, including my own business for 16 years. I graduated from both the Marketing Institute of Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK. More recently, I’ve passed the Digital Marketing exam with UCD. I am a proud Fellow and former president of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and have worked as both lecturer and examiner in PR.
