I have over 25 years of diverse nursing experience, ranging from cardiac care, orthopaedic, midwifery, pain management, palliative, dementia, education and returning recently to rehabilitation.My career path has included understanding the many facets of the health care system, which has included involvement in the acute public, private, general practice, non-for profit, community and aged care environment. Roles have been diverse and fluctuating between senior and middle management, human resource, work health and safety, quality, clinical governance, education, bed management and direct clinical care.My passion has been to self educate, keep abreast of contemporary practice and to share and coach this dedication within my health profession.Training projects included developing a cost effective and streamlined program to meet the educational and legislative requirements of aged care community and homes, which lead to a strong involvement and affiliation with Flinders University and University of SA in Mentoring and Graduate Nurse Programs.Credibility as an educator and a clinician strongly resonates with me and with a understanding and practicable approach ensures in a positive customer reaction. Currently, I am combining my clinical, consultative and business approach within a vibrant multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, meeting the needs of patients and the referring hospitals.
