Carmel Johnson is an Experience Industry Management student with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Whether it was making ducktape wallets or sewing hair bows from old fabric to sell, she has always had an entrepreneurial mindset and worked hard to pursue her goals. Carmel has been extremely involved while attending college and has held influential leadership positions in her sorority and the Experience Industry Management department. Carmel has had to overcome many barriers as a student such as fully supporting herself financially throughout her time in college and learning to navigate college as a first-generation college student. Carmel is looking to find a job post-graduation, creating customer experiences and managing events in the hospitality, beauty or fashion industry. In the long term, she hopes to create her own business and inspire young teens to embrace who they are and follow their passions.
