As head of HR at Oracle in the late 80’s, I saw the need for teams to work together more effectively. After leaving that position, I spent the next 15 years focused on team training and leadership development. During that time, what stood out over and over again was the importance of the quality of leadership at the head of any organization. The variety and capability of leadership is vast. There are foundational capabilities that enable a leader to be successful in the business and leading people, and there are blindspots and gaps that have the opposite effect. My job as a leadership coach is to illuminate areas of strengths and gaps, increase self-awareness, and to crystalize and expedite learning.I have been coaching leaders for more than two decades. The past 15 years I have worked primarily with executive teams, coaching individuals and helping teams develop strong team practices. I love the high growth start-up stage of an organization and what that demands from a team. Constant learning and agility is required for executive teams to come together and get all the functions working in sync. I help this process by offering years of experience working with individuals/teams, a strong belief that we all have the ability to grow and be better, and a good sense of humor.
