I'm a proud latinx lady born and raised in the Tampa Bay area in Florida. Recently, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Stetson University and got my BA in English and Journalism. There, I experienced everything from study abroad trips to national student media conferences to running our student paper, and everything in-between. I then worked as a journalist for the West Volusia Beacon -- a locally owned newspaper in DeLand. There, I dealt in content creation for both print and digital pieces, primarily focusing on feature and news articles. I also helped with web development and social media management, which afforded me plenty of opportunities to learn and grow as a professional. Now, I work at my beloved alma mater, Stetson University, as the Assistant Director of Communications, where I get to help prospective Hatters along their journey into higher education. My biggest passion in life is learning, which is why I'm so in love with journalism, higher education and communication! In my spare time, I love to read novels, cook, crochet, and travel whenever possible. So far I've explored parts of England, France, and the Caribbean, though that's not nearly enough if you ask me :) I'm endlessly excited to continue turning my passions into prose, now as a full-time professional.
