CurrentProvide professional, legal assistance to civil and family law litigation attorneys while maintaining personable client relationships and communications. • Gather pertinent information to perform conflict of interest checks, client intake and prepare summary of litigation matters. Complete and provide representation agreements for review and signature, create client files and billing accounts.• Strategize with attorneys as to implementation of client’s best interest from case initiation to conclusion. • Prepare initial and revised drafts of pleadings and motions including, notices, correspondence, evidence and witness list, response to discovery request and documentation as requested.• Assist clients in completing discovery requests, financial affidavits, mandatory disclosure, and ensure timely submission.• Maintain attorneys’ calendars, schedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, discovery or case deadlines, phone conferences, and meetings. • Create, organize, and maintain databases, files containing discovery documents, physical evidence, due diligence, and information as required.• Research case documents, materials, civil rules of procedure, local administrative orders/court procedures, and individual Judges preferences procedures. Including public records, recorded instruments, tax assessment records, and other public information sources.• Electronically file pleadings, submit orders, serve opposing counsel/pro se party, and clients. • Communicate with court personnel, opposing counsel office and pro se parties regarding pending matters, scheduling matters and compilation of material for evidentiary and trial hearing notebooks.• Assist with client billing, accounts payable and receivable and initial collections.
