I believe a child’s success is dependent on their whole well-being and thus my role as a teacher is to support their academic, personal and social-emotional growth. I have a deep personal belief that each child has unique needs, and in order to support the whole-child, it is important to create a respectful home-school partnership with open dialogue, a well articulated curriculum plan that is scaffolded and a classroom environment where students feel it is safe to learn and make mistakes in the process. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to shape kind, compassionate, self-reflective/ mindful, critical thinkers/problem solvers who are ready to engage with the world as the best version of them selves.
