CurrentI lead a team of real estate lawyers and paralegals in the closing of a variety of real estate transactions originated under the Freddie Mac conventional and targeted affordable housing (TAH) programs and the Fannie Mae DUS and multifamily affordable housing (MAH) programs. From Fannie Mae small balance loans under $9.0 million to a $2.8 billion transaction, involving one of the largest multifamily affordable projects in NY, I have worked with top-flight lawyers and notable real estate developers and investors over the years. I am experienced in closing transactions involving LIHTCs, historic tax credits, master leases, ground leases, bonds financing with state housing finance authorities, Texas non-profit public facility corporations (PFCs), NY industrial development agencies (IDAs), manufactured housing communities, NY Mitchell-Lama corporations, joint ventures with foreign investors, cross-collateralized & cross-defaulted portfolio loans, construction loans, student housing and senior housing and other complex transactions. I have done extensive probono work representing, senior citizens, veterans and small business owners in various subject matters and consistently provide training and career development advise to all members of my team. Most recently I co-founded the RD W.I.R.E. (Women In Real Estate) Group at Romer Debbas LLP, whose main mission is to advance women issues in the workplace and provide career development advise to our women attorneys and staff.
