Bick, Marcel Proust, Mauro Ceruti, Edgar Morin, Francesca Caferri, Mario Praz, David Henry Thoreau or Walt Whitman from English, French and Italian into Spanish for the publishing houses Berenice, Ático de los Libros, Alfama, Errata Naturae, Periférica, Impedimenta, Confluencias, Nocturna Ediciones, Oniro and Paidós.Main tasks:• Translating a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles from English, French and Italian, into Spanish.• Programming workload and timescales.• Reviewing and proofreading work when translating in partnership with my colleague and discussing the introduction of possible changes to improve the final result. • Invoicing and payment controlling.• Corresponding with authors, literary agencies and publishers, and assessing and sending the latter proposal reports of new titles to be translated into Spanish.• Building strong and successful relationships and working alongside publishers, proofreaders and layout editors to produce high-quality translations within strict deadlines.
