Teach the Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) 20-week course which supports parent leadership and civic engagement by de-mystifying the tools of democracy and developing effective parent change agents. I have worked alongside parents in Connecticut and nationwide to lead and support more than 250 civic engagement projects that improve the quality of life for children and families. • Over 90% of trained parents are working with people who are different than them with comfort. • Over 66% of parents in the program are using their new skills weekly to affect change for children.
