• Diligently supervised speaker workshops, discussions, and judging sessions to create an inclusive community and promote an enthusiasm for STEM among hackathon participants.

hEr VOLUTION’s STEMing UP program aims to empower young girls and gender non-conforming youth to pursue STEM careers. The program provides students the opportunity to code and pitch projects aimed at solving real-life business problems. As an alumna of the STEMing UP program, worked closely with other former students and the executive team of hEr VOLUTION.

• Led the team’s research and video development initiatives on the topic of systemic discrimination in Canada.
• In collaboration with AlumNav’s graphic design team, pioneered the art and animation style used for the team’s educational videos.
• Oversaw all team outreach efforts with other AlumNav departments and external contacts for promotional work.
• Hosted weekly meetings with team members to delegate roles and responsibilities based on the skill set of members and the project timeline.

• In response to the learning challenges imposed by the pandemic, collaborated with Math Department to create a math tutoring center that provided learning support for grade 9-12 students.
• Trained and supervised senior high school students interested in becoming volunteer tutors.
• Used spreadsheets to log the availability and contact information of tutors and tutees.
• Oversaw the tutor and tutee pairing process to ensure both parties are a fit based on mathematics level and learning needs.

• Diligently assisted swimming instructors with planning and running aquatic lessons for children aged 3 to 12.
• Prepared pool deck with swimming equipment for classes and aided in post-lesson cleanups.
