Discovered two novel roles for a protein kinase family and characterized their cellular function using both genetic and biochemical techniques including molecular cloning, genotyping, in addition to protein and gene expression analysis. Beyond the bench, I maintained detailed records of my experiments, presented my research at every opportunity, and took on a mentorship role to help and inspire young researchers.
