The objective of my internship was to compare the performances obtained with two control regulations designed for a high current pulsed power converter: the digital RST based control and the EMR (Energetic Macroscopic Representation) based control.As a first step, I studied and optimized the EMR based control to achieve the requested performances. This tool permits to tune independently the control loops of the subsystems using P, PI and PID controllers for its performance. In a second phase, the RST-controller has been studied and implemented for the converter mentioned before. This digital controller is a global control method that allows independent design of reference tracking and perturbation rejection. Both controllers (EMR and RST) have been implemented in the Matlab/Simulink environment, and the obtained performances have been compared and evaluated.
