In architecture I am especially motivated by green design. I am interested in life cycle analysis of materials, passive heating and cooling strategies, and environmental benefits from urban design. I am very interested in designing spaces that are aesthetically appealing, that provide a sense of place, and in which decisions are made using principles of sustainability. My architecture education is complemented with a background in science. I attended The University of Texas at Austin where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in Human Impact on the Environment. I am extremely passionate about the natural environment and have previously worked with river ecology.
