Merchandise Planner
Current• Collaboration with Buying Teams: Working closely with the Buyers to help plan future ranges, ideal order amounts and times with which to launch. • Range Planning: Assisting in the selection and planning of product ranges to ensure price point, option counts and categories are sitting in line with sales. • Inventory Management & Forecasting: Managing the inventory flow to ensure customer demand is being met without the department being overstocked. • Product Replenishment: Analysing and managing product performance and store fixtures to ensure that replenishment and allocations are at ideal levels for stores.• Data Analysis: Analysing past sales data, current trends and potential opportunities to help present ideas to the business relating to product, stock and promotions.• Financial Planning: Working in collaboration with the Buyers to develop financial targets for the department, these include financial year sales targets, inventory budgets, OTB management, profit targets, margin analysis and inventory management.• Promotional Planning: Analysing the effectiveness of promotions and markdowns in the department to help inform future decisions.• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments such as planning, buying, marketing, finance, and logistics to ensure a cohesive approach to products, promotions, and overall inventory management.• Performance Monitoring: Regularly reviewing the performance of products, promotions, and overall inventory strategies to identify areas for improvement. This involves analysing KPIs such as sales performance, weeks cover, and sell-through rates.
