As an Emerging Leader, I performed standard day-to-day operations of a sales, customer service, and claims agents at a high level to develop the necessary technical skills to manage in each respective department. In these roles, I honed leadership competencies by continuously pushing to develop leadership strengths through mentorship, development conferences, projects, and regional initiatives. In this role, I identified an opportunity for an Email campaign to 3,000+ policyholders resulting in saving our region 1000 calls per month, or ~ $84,000 in annual savings. Furthermore, I promoted all 9 associates on my team once and 2 of them twice. I adapted quickly and before long was working with Oracle material requirements planning software and performing freight recovery to reconcile incorrect inventory transportation charges. I was also lucky enough to design and implement a training program for the inventory recovery I was doing. Overall, this experience was a great way for me to get my feet wet and got me even more excited about future supply chain opportunities.
