Postdoctoral Researcher
Postdoctoral Researcher
Most of my time was dedicated to a joint research project between Petrobras and the University of São Paulo for the development of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) in deep waters. I worked on the design and dimmensioning of the structure, performing coupled dynamic analysis with state-of-the-art software (OpenFAST, WAMIT, OrcaFlex and some in-house tools) and conducting experiments in a wave basin. One of the main outcomes was the development of a software-in-the-loop approach to perform model-scale experiments accounting for both wind and waves.Besides, I continued to work on METiS-USP, a software for the seakeeping analysis of FOWTs that I developed during my PhD, and on more fundamental research topics within hydrodynamics.

Analysis and benchmark against prior versions of AQWA 17.0 and Ariane 8 (which had been recently released) in order to ensure consistency, to identify changes and to test new functionalities.
Undergraduate Researcher
Study of the ability to produce electrical energy from the self-sustained vibration of a cantilevered pipe conveying fluid using piezoelectric patches.
Undergraduate Researcher
Took part on the development of a CFD code based on the Moving Particle Semi-implict Method (MPS). My main job consisted of comparing the results provided by the software with the ones obtained with other methods or found in the literature.
