Postdoctoral ResearcherNumerical Offshore Tank (Tpn-Usp) Nov 2021 - Dec 2022São Paulo, BrasilMost of my time was dedicated to a joint research project between Petrobras and the University of São Paulo for the development of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) in deep waters. I worked on the design and dimmensioning of the structure, performing coupled dynamic analysis with state-of-the-art software (OpenFAST, WAMIT, OrcaFlex and some in-house tools) and conducting experiments in a wave basin. One of the main outcomes was the development of a software-in-the-loop approach to perform model-scale experiments accounting for both wind and waves.Besides, I continued to work on METiS-USP, a software for the seakeeping analysis of FOWTs that I developed during my PhD, and on more fundamental research topics within hydrodynamics. -
