It's not everyday you meet someone who can handle a rigorous college workload, internships, and extracurriculars as a high school student. Her dedication to academic excellence and community involvement is not something that I just noticed, though. Posse, a national nonprofit organization, that identifies and recruits high-achieving students to attend some of the nation's top universities and liberal arts colleges, also noticed. Marina was designated as a Posse Scholar, receiving a full-tuition scholarship to attend Franklin and Marshall College. This feat not only gives her distinction but also recognizes that all of her hard work, the trials and tribulations she faced, and her journey were all worth it.
