Before joining the brewing industry, I spent 20 years at the secondary level as a Visual Arts Specialist. I honed skills in visual communication, communication, design, event planning, curriculum development, and marketing. I attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.I had the opportunity to serve as a writer on the 2012 Ohio Visual Arts Standards, and for the Ohio Arts Assessment Collaborative with Battelle for Education and the Ohio Arts Council. I served in regional leadership positions for the Ohio Arts Education Association in Public Advocacy and as Co -Regional Director. And I received the Outstanding Art teacher award for North Central Ohio and the statewide Advocatus Award for Arts Advocacy. For over 25 years, I have been a craft beer enthusiast. I currently serve on the board of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association and chair the OCBA Marketing Committee. I am a member of the Pink Boots beer Society and the founder of the Jane Doe's Craft Beer Consortium. A Certified Beer Server, I am studying to become a Certified Cicerone. After spending 20 years in education and loving it, I never dreamed I would find another career that I could love even more. The opportunity to communicate and connect with people in the taproom, online, and through design is an amazing and unexpected opportunity. I love sharing share Craft-Beer-Life experiences with other craft beer lovers and combining Craft Beer and Educational Opportunities.
