NINE AND A HALF is a design studio located at the east of Manila which primarily engages in thepractice of Architecture, improvements of the built space & environment and visual arts.The studio aims to continuously collaborate with people, other design professionals, artists, creative entrepreneurs, visionaries and especially communities to enhance the design and arts industry of the Philippines.

During my freelance career, I fulfilled multiple roles that have contributed to the improvement of my Architectural professional experience. These are only a few of undertaken during this period:• Provided Construction/Bid Drawings and Details production and management services for other Architects/Studios and handled personal projects as well.• Overall Techinical Support Group (TSG) Head for outsourced Fitout projects. • Spearheaded the upgrade/restructuring of several design professional's Design management and drawing standards.• Facilitated design and construction financial agendas between coporate clients, franchise groups, and other individuals particularly those operating in the smaller-scale fastfood industry.

Operating in an environment unidentified with technological advancements and experimental design methodologies, Arkisens strives to sustain a high level of inventiveness, suitability and quality in all its projects.While working with Arkisens as a Design Architect, I have been given the opportunity to improve my career by performing the following duties entrusted to me:• In-depth Architectural conceptualization, planning and design with the guidance of the partners. We focused on challenging to improve user/customer-experience in relation to the proposed designs.• Exploring possible implementation methods of forms and design elements, considering the readily-available materials in the market.• Project team coordination with the Consultants, General Contractor and Suppliers.• Responsible for project documentation to account any changes in design direction, value engineering, etc.• Carries-out quality control for projects handled. • Supporting the Partner in-charge for Client engagement by means of research and other administrative work.

Santos, Jr. is the pioneer of Landscape Architecture in the Philippines and is one of the six individuals awarded the National Artist for Architecture by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). My passion for Architecture was not only for the built structure but also with the surrounding environment on which it stands. During my tenure in his design firm, I was assigned to be a Landscape Designer/Asst. Project Supervisor to perform the following:• Assist the Lead Designer to translate the design direction from concepts until contract documentation.• Tasked to assist the Lead Designer to coordinate project implementation with Client and Contractors. Facilitates correspondence with Suppliers for projects.
