ACE TAF objective is to improve the enabling environment for private sector delivery of access to energy through stand-alone solar systems in 14 countries in AfricaImplemented through three pillars: 1. Enabling Environment: Assisting governments and government agencies to put in place appropriate policies and regulations, supporting market development and improving quality standards to catalyze private sector delivery of stand-alone solar systems. 2. Knowledge Management: Generating and disseminating knowledge and evidence on the success factors for, and benefits of, private sector delivery of off-grid solar energy, including the application of learning. 3. Coordination: Promoting collaboration and coordination in the stand alone solar sub sector.

E4I supports the development of a broad range of SMEs (solar companies, mini-grid developers and other service providers) in the energy sector so they can provide communities with access to energy at affordable prices. We focus on mentoring and providing advisory services, including finding capital for off-grid energy businesses and projects. The services include technical, financial and business advice on business models, partnership facilitation, project development, investment readiness, financial modelling and capital raising among others.
