I was responsible for every facet of the business operations, as well as strategic decision making in alignment with our parent company’s (HPG) goals and cultural development of the company. The most rewarding part of my role was mentoring the Leadership Team to help them elevate their careers and support their successes. I undertook a Leadership Training Program for my own career development and used this valuable education to help teach my team to be more effective leaders. I was responsible for project managing all of our due diligence activities for our successful acquisition by Hub Promotional Group in 2018. This key partnership was a pivotal moment in the Origaudio success story. HPG was the 8th largest company in the billion-dollar promotional products industry at the time of acquisition. In addition to all company administration duties, I managed the following teams: Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, HR and Systems. I worked continuously to maximize our team collaboration across all activities. Communication is key to a healthy organization so I worked on many fronts to continuously improve our performance in this area. During the latter part of my tenure in this role, I took on some important strategic projects for HPG at a corporate level. I was the Project Manager for the transition of the Origaudio business in southern California into a sister HPG company in Utah. This project delivered annual savings of approximately $1.5m through consolidation of operational facilities. I also worked closely with the CEO of HPG on a number of other corporate projects aimed at strengthening our HPG corporate culture and building robust Corporate Governance into the future development of the $200m+ enterprise.

he Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary organization at my children’s then Elementary School that raises funds for school programs. Having been an active Board Member for over a year, I was voted in as Vice President of the Board to help oversee the fund-raising events and actively participate in executing the events. In addition to this role, I also produced all the Marketing and Communication material for all the events, as well as the Board information sent out to the parent community. This role was quite challenging as the Board needed to raise $350k every year in order to fund vital programs within the school, such as the Reading Room. This important service is wholly funded by the funds raised by Board activities and would not exist without all the hard work of the volunteers. During my tenure as VP, we exceeded our fund-raising goal by $50k so we were delighted to have provided some extra items much-needed by the School. By happy accident, I created and donated a cake to the school auction that sold for $1,800, which is what sparked my home baking business.

Auto Trader UAE is a Luxury Car Classifieds Magazine and is aimed at the very exotic end of the car market, which is indicative of the marketplace in Dubai. I was responsible for Marketing and Business Development and managed a team who covered Public Relations, Editorial, Digital Media, Social Media, Advertising, Events and Distribution. This was a strategic and management role that involved process improvement for the company as a whole, helping the company expand into new areas and optimizing existing business operations. In February 2013 I delivered a 3-day Supercar Show in Dubai Festival City, UAE, which was the first of its kind in Dubai, and the first ever event for Auto Trader. I successfully managed and executed all the planning, organization and preparations for the event. The Show received over 30,000 visitors, including local Royalty, and showcased 300 of the world’s rarest and mostexpensive supercars. Every aspect was managed by myself from sourcing sub-contractors and suppliers, to working with advertisers, government entities, plus all the planning and budgeting. The event was delivered on time and on budget. In addition, we worked on developing other product diversification projects and other new product lines to bring under the company’s luxury brand ambitions.

This was part of my operational management training to expand my knowledge and skillset.As the only female employee in a team of 600+ people, it was a challenging assignment in a challenging country with many obstacles that required high diplomacy and respect for local culture on my part to overcome.I was responsible for building the Quality Management System for the North & East Oil Fields that were owned and managed by the Kuwait Oil Company. Petrofac was the contracted Operator of these 2 large facilities in this $60m 3-year contract.My responsibilities involved regular development and status update meetings with our KOC colleagues, as well as frequent visits on site, the North Oil Field a mere 30 miles from the Iraq border during dangerous times.
