Education and counseling are my life passions! My career afforded me a rich and diverse background in the areas of education, counseling, and special education supervision. Because I am a lifetime learner and love to be challenged, I taught special education at elementary, middle and high school levels. This extensive and varied experience uniquely prepared me to teach at two local universities, DeSales and Cedar Crest. In this role, I taught undergraduate special education courses and served as a Student Teacher Supervisor in districts in throughout the Lehigh Valley( both urban and suburban districts).Other educational hats worn included serving as an elementary principal of a K -3 specialized school in Bethlehem and interim supervisor of special education at CIU 20 in Easton.In 2001, I was appointed twice and later elected as a School Board Director in progressive Southern Lehigh School District. I served for 6 1/2 years and was truly humbled to give back to the community. In 2023, after over 30 years in the classroom,I retired from full time teaching and segued into working in private practice solely. My specialties are child, adolescent, individual and couples counseling.Lehigh Valley Counseling Resources, LLC, is located at 214 West Broad Street, close to downtown, Historic Bethlehem. I am in practice with my colleague and husband, Tom.They say if you love what you do, it does not feel like work. I love what I do!
