As DRAFTING JOB LEADER, responsiblities included running the department on a very lean budget, including negotiating a new plotter lease with a $500+ savings a month.In charge of all the equipment; scanners, copies, printers, plotters, computers, their leases & maintenance agreements, software and licensing.Responsible for every drawing in the plan through the use of Documentum. As Administrator, I maintained total access control of every drawing and all revisions, and all user access.Restructured Documentum to suit the plant, and trained employees how to use it, and wrote ‘step by step’ instructions.Oversaw the Board Drawings Scanning Project; every drawing scanned, imported, put in the correct folder, and attributes filled out correctly in Documentum. All drawings were done manually.DESIGN COORDINATOR on a large, fast track pharmaceutical pilot plant project ($22+ million range) in Clinton, IN Responsibilities included;• Issuing all Construction Packages: collecting the original drawings from each discipline, getting the appropriate reproducible and copies made, writing the transmittals, packing up and mailing out to the contractors at the site, and the home office for their files. • Total Document Control: All stick sets and record sets of drawings were constantly updated. All the transmittals and meeting ‘progress reports’ were organized to track records.• Kept up the clients’ VAX database system, retrieving new drawing numbers and/or updating revision numbers and what package it was issued in, and the date.• Regular visits to the construction site to handle the drawing control from the crew working on site, as well as coordinating with other consulting firms working on the same project.• Back checked over 1200 drawings, marking them up per clients’ drafting standards.
