I have worked in the hospitality sector for the last 20 years, both on the software supplier side, and as the customer while contracting . Throughout my career, I've been involved with all aspects of delivery, from product management to software implementation, from user training and presales, to post implementation customer success. I've been a line manager of people, a leader of peers as well as an independent contributor.Being a Product Manager enabled me to understand the importance of prioritisation, of the value of new features, and the need for clarity in all forms of communication. I particularly enjoyed the need to learn how to communicate effectively with the dev teams, to ensure clear understanding when sprint planning and discussing requirements. In turn I enjoyed translating technical jargon into meaningful customer facing messaging.My time in operations allowed me to gather the hard and soft skills needed to ensure successful implementations across multiple customers, simultaneously. I discovered that I genuinely love to make people happy and will do all in my power to ensure that they get the best service possible, at the highest quality. Here too I learnt the importance of return on investment both for the business and the customer and how to say no, when needed, in the least offensive way possible.I've gained valuable experience in working with both small and large organisations, and thrive in any role where I can apply new ideas and effectively deliver change or new systems. I believe I bring an array of skills to any project including versatility, an analytical approach to solving problems, commercial awareness, project management skills and excellent interpersonal abilities with clients and colleagues alike.
