I have been a publishing, writing and editing professional in my field for 27 years. I recently SOLD Birmingham Parent to Family Resource Group INC., but have helped as (associate) editor temporarily. I recently accepted a job with Easterseals Central Alabama in Montgomery, and I am enjoying it so much! I have done a lot of freelance writing and editing, written a weather book, worked for the census and a professional publishing organization, served in a leadership capacity on others, and started my own parenting magazine in 2004 that continues today While owner of Birmingham Parent/Evans Publishing, we published more than 200 issues of Birmingham Parent and have created 4 annual special events to help our advertisers reach the public. Our advertising was in the form of print, digital, web, social media and dedicated e-blasts. Our magazine won more than 20 national awards for editing, writing and design.
